Where are my entries stored?
On your device only. Local Journal does not upload or sync entries to any servers.
Can you recover my entries if I delete the app or lose my phone?
No — because entries stay on your device, we don’t have access to them and can’t restore them.
If you want a backup, use Export.
How do I back up my journal?
Use the Export feature to save your entries as text or JSON files (stored locally under your control).
App Lock question:
If you enable app lock, Local Journal uses your device’s existing PIN/biometrics. It doesn’t create a separate password.
